Published in September 2018, Yuval Noah Harari’s book 21 Lessons for the 21st Century takes a deep dive into the challenges that human-kind could face in the coming decades. What I really appreciated from this book is Harari’s way of looking beyond a 20,000 ft view of the issues of today and providing a relatable framework that is easy to understand. While his writing has an academic feel, it was still engaging and I walked away with a greater perspective on the world and life. If you, like me, worry about the world we may be creating for our children and grandchildren, this book may be worth exploring.
If you enjoy 21 Lessons for the 21st Century, Harari also has two other best selling works listed below: Sapiens – A Brief History of Human Kind – explores human evolution. Homo Deus – A Brief History of Tomorrow – looks at possibilities in the future.
