At BPC Advisors, we are constantly on the lookout for ways to improve our systems and client experience. At the end of 2019, we made the decision to upgrade our portfolio reporting software from a legacy PortfolioCenter to the industry leader EnvestnetTamarac Reporting. This process was completed in March 2020 with our first Tamarac reports mailed in April.
Internally, this update has greatly improved how we view all client data. We now have access to daily performance reporting and expanded benchmarks. In addition, there is a myriad of different and very useful reports/dashboards that we didn't have access to before. Finally, Tamarac is part of the Envestnet platform, where we can continue to expand on our software needs as our business grows.
Externally, Tamarac Reporting offers a useful client reporting portal (see hypothetical image above) that should allow our clients to see up-to-date detailed account information instead of waiting for a quarterly report to arrive in the mail. Furthermore, the portal contains a document vault where we can share documents and archive quarterly reports for safekeeping. The client portal is available on a mobile app as well. We certainly will still be sending paper quarterly reports, but this is another option for our clients that want to have a quick snapshot view of all assets in one location.
